Job Details
- Title: Brand Ambassador
- Location: Portland OR, Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA
- Compensation: $18 / hour + tips + free product
- Start Date: July 2024
- End Date: ideally free through end of summer
- Commitment: 6.5-7 hours / week at minimum
- Shift Times: every Saturday, approximately 7:30am-2pm, with potential to add Sunday shifts in the summer

This year, we’re expanding by attending more farmers markets and getting our product on shelf in more local stores. We need your help to accomplish this goal! We have a small and mighty team of part-time producers and brand ambassadors.

Position Description
- Represent the Chio brand at markets
- Sample and sell our premium pistachio butters to both new and our existing customers
- Share the brand story with enthusiasm and positivity
- Answer customer questions regarding nutrition facts, ingredient sourcing, and more
- Haul (in your car), set-up, and break down a farmers market set-up, consisting of a 10x10 tent, table, display, and more (training will be provided, and you will be compensated for training time!)
- Process transactions via Square and be prepared to manage cash, card, and token sales
- Collect our returned glass jars and process jar discounts for our eco-friendly customers
Requirements
- Must have a car / reliable transportation to haul a market set-up (table, tent, etc.)
- Positive attitude – you’re friendly and personable!
- Professionalism – you treat customers, potential customers, other farmers market vendors, farmers market management teams, and others with respect
- Ability to stand on your feet for up to 4 hours consecutively (do NOT worry – we will provide you with a chair and though we want you to be engaged, we also recognize we all need a little break during any job to feel our best)
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds
